SUMMARY:Think7 Summit
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to invite you to participate in the Think7 Summit\nwhich will take place on 23 and 24 May 2022 in Berlin. The Think7\nSummit is organised by the German Development Institute /\nDeutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik ( https://www.die-gdi.de/ ) (DIE) and the Global ( https://www.global-solutions-initiative.org/ )\nSolutions Initiative (GSI), as think tanks mandated for the Think7\nprocess during the German G7 presidency in 2022. It is organised in\npartnership with the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung ( https://www.fes.de/ ) (FES), the German ( https://dgap.org/de )\nCouncil on Foreign Relations (DGAP) and the Aspen Institute ( https://www.aspeninstitute.de/ )\nGermany.\nTaking into account the repercussions of the war in Ukraine, we will\npresent and discuss the key policy recommendation put forward by\nthe Think7 Task Forces on Climate and Environment, Sustainable\nEconomic Recovery, Global Health, International Cooperation for the\nGlobal Common Good and Social Cohesion, Economic\nTransformation and Open Societies. With high-level representatives\nfrom the German Federal Government we want to enter into dialogue\nabout the contribution of the G7 Summit in Elmau to solving the most\nurgent global challenges.\nA large number of representatives from leading scientific institutions\nand think tanks from G7 countries will participate in the Think7\nSummit. We look forward to facilitating exchange between them and\ndecision-makers from the German government as well as\nrepresentatives of international organisations, civil society, labour and\nbusiness. At the Think7 Summit we will also build bridges between the\nThink7 and Think20 process, which brings together think tanks from\nG20 countries.\nThe Think7 Summit will be an on-site event. Parts of the Summit will\nbe held as hybrid sessions. The on-site venue will be the premises of\nthe Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung and the German Council on Foreign\nRelations in Berlin.\nPlease register here ( https://www.teilnehmermanagement.die-gdi.de/think7-summit/ ) to participate in the Think7 Summit and let us\nknow whether you are considering on-site participation. Please note:\non-site participation, depending on the current regulations in May, will\nbe limited due to Covid safety measures and you may only be able to\nattend in person when you are fully vaccinated with one of the\nvaccines approved in the EU.\n \n
